Vidal Sassoon 1928-2012
The hair dressing world lost an icon today with the passing of the beloved Vidal Sassoon. Sassoon passed this morning at his Mullholland Drive estate where he was surrounded by his family and friends. It has been reported that he was battling leukemia.
Sassoon changed the way the industry looked at hair, with his geometric five-point cuts that were way beyond they're time, and an approach that did away with the stuffy and inconvenient styles of the 1940's and 50's. His influence launched millions into the world of hair dressing, and his simple, effective way at approaching hair kept him on the forefront of fashion and beauty since he first burst onto the scene.
Mr. Sassoon, you will be missed, but what a legacy you've left behind. Thank you for your timeless inspiration and for showing us that anything is possible with enough dedication and passion.
