1. Redken Quick Tease 15
This wonder product is a favorite of hair stylist Guido. He used this product backstage at Marc Jacobs to create an Edie-Sedgwick 1960s-inspired pony with a teased, tousled finish.
Redken Quick Tease 15 is best described as a hair spray, a hair spray with super powers. This spray has a matte finish with long lasting hold and does double duty with it's root lifting and volumizing capabilities.
2. Kérastase Elixir Ultime The Imperial
This multi-purpose oil was seen backstage at Thakoon in the hands of master hair stylist Odile Gilbert. She used Kérastase Elixir Ultime to create high-shine, high-fashion oil slicks atop model's heads.
Kérastase Elixir Ultime is a wonder product that can be used in many ways. It brings shine, nourishment and deep conditioning to the hair while smoothing the hair fiber. It can be used as a treatment or a styling product and it's packed with anti-oxidants to treat the hair and promote cellular renewal.
What I like most about this product is that it's super light-weight and is immediately absorbed into the hair. Even the most fine-haired clients won't walk away with a greasy feeling...unless of course they're backstage at Thakoon and Odile dumps a whole bottle on their head.
3. Redken Full Frame 07 Protective Volumizing Mousse.
Redken Full Frame 07 Protective Volumizing Mousse was used backstage this year at Calvin Klein. Hair was prepped with mousse and then blow-dried with the fingers to achieve a soft, unrefined texture. The look was finished off with hair powder, hair spray and then brushed out to achieve a gritty, messy style.
Redken Full Frame 07 Protective Volumizing Mousse is a rich, velvety foam that builds body and restores moisture to the hair. It protects the hair from heat styling, humidity, color fade and UV rays. This mousse provides long-lasting volume without being stiff or heavy.
4. Fekkai Coiff Magnifique Ultra-Light Finishing Crème
Backstage at Proenza Schouler models came down the runway with intentionally chaotic hair. Lead hair stylist for Fekkai, Paul Hanlon, wanted to create a dented hair style and he achieved that by tying a scarf around the neck with the hair tucked into it. He then diffused the hair, and when the scarf was removed, he rubbed on the finishing cream to create a messy, slept-in feel.
Fekkai Coiff Magnifique Ultra-Light Finishing Crème is an airy, light cream that adds shape and definition without being stiff or sticky.
5. Redken Shine Flash 02 Glistening Mist
Victoria Beckham sent model's down the runway with prim hair dos that had a futuristic feel. Redken hair stylist Guido parted model's hair sharply down the middle and generously applied the glistening mist throughout the top. He left the bottom clean and natural looking by spritzing it with water and adding dry shampoo for a little texture.
Redken Shine Flash 02 Glistening Mist is a fine-mist aerosol spray that illuminates the hair, adds shine and gives it a soft, silky feel. This weightless formula is suitable for all hair types and it comes infused with Redken's Shine-On Complex, camelina oil and nourishing vitamin B5.
